Materials
Materials alone don’t make a product sustainable, but they do make up a large portion of a product's environmental impact.
Cotton
Our textiles are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, grown with native seeds and holistic farming methods. This reduces toxins and preserves soil health, without harming nearby rivers or freshwater sources.
While organic cotton eliminates harmful chemicals, it's still a resource-intensive fiber. Some studies show it may use more water than conventional cotton. But for us, the reduced impact on farmers' health, biodiversity, and land quality makes it the better choice.
Cotton is a natural fiber, biodegradable unlike synthetics like polyester. However, the dyeing process can still be harmful, so we carefully choose certified OEKOTEX Standard 100 dye houses to ensure safe practices.
Dyes
Our yarn is dyed with OEKO-TEX® certified dyes, ensuring safety, durability and longevity.
OEKO-TEX® is a global certification system that guarantees textiles are free from harmful substances.
These dyes are free from harmful chemicals, making them gentle on your skin and safer for the workers who handle them.
Additionally, the dyeing process uses less water and energy, resulting in a smaller footprint.
